CompX International has grown over its 100+ year history through development of new products, identification of new applications for our products and acquisition of component manufacturers. The CompX Corporate Development team explores acquisitions consistent with our presence in the security products and marine markets as well as other related component business markets.

The CompX Corporate Development team is particularly interested in acquisition opportunities that can strengthen our leadership in the component industries we currently serve. Our key criteria are:

• Manufacturing of engineered component products in markets having a total annual sales opportunity of $100 million or greater and that are critical to the functionality of an end product
• Fit with CompX’s current areas of focus
• Mechanical locks and locking mechanisms for cabinetry
• Electronic cabinetry locks
• Networked wireless electronic cabinetry locks
• Gauges for marine applications
• Boat throttle controls
• Stainless steel exhaust systems
• Metal tube bending
